Description

Step back in time 300 years with today's deal, $229 for a Two-Night Waterview Admiral Room Stay with Full Breakfast at the Robert Morris Inn. Built circa 1710, the building was once the home of Robert Morris, who gained fame as "Financier of the Revolution". General - and later President - George Washington was a close friend and visited Robert Morris often. In more recent times author James Michener outlined his famous novel, Chesapeake here. More history is located here. Now the Eastern Shore's most unique historic restaurant with rooms under celebrity Chef Proprietor, Mark Salter. Located in Historic Oxford, the Inn provides a pristine yet historic interior welcomes with timber beams, panelled walls and open fires in the cooler months. This is a truly historic Inn, cosy with a natural patina running through. Friendly, great cuisine and understated professional service.

The Town of Oxford itself is one of the most unique towns on the Eastern Shore. Historic and peaceful, yet vibrant at the same time, as it remains so popular with sailors, cyclists, kayak'ers and those seeking refuge and restoration from an ever increasing mad world. And so conveniently close to St. Michaels, Easton, and Cambridge. The waterbound village was once Maryland's largest port of call and is still an important center for boat building and yachting. Today, Oxford is a protected harbor for watermen who harvest oysters, crabs, clams and fish. During your stay, immerse yourself in the leisure activities, quiet charm, fresh air, and spectacular sunrises and sunsets over the water.
