On Saturday, June 16, join Chesapeake Bay supporters far and wide for the 1st Annual 5K for the Bay. Starting at 8:30 AM at breathtaking Quiet Waters Park, participants will enjoy an exceptional 3.1 mile run/walk course along the South River in one of Maryland's most beautiful parks. Registration is normally $30 and each race registrant will receive a tee shirt and water bottle, as well as other goodies. There will also be prizes for the fastest male and female runners, as well as refreshments provided by Panera Bread and the Chesapeake Bay Roasting Company.
Quiet Waters Park is one of the most beautiful outdoor places in Maryland. This waterfront park of over 340 acres includes kayaking, trails, pavilions, playgrounds and so much more. The 3.1 mile course is along the Severn River waterfront and the woods on a paved trail. Children in strollers and leashed pets are welcome.
